Advent Music in Vienna Churches
- In the heart of the city, St. Stephen’s Cathedral hosts a series of Advent concerts from the end of November onwards. Featuring a mix of chamber music, Advent songs, specially selected readings and performances by the ORG-Choir of the Vienna Boys Choir and soloists from the Wiener KammerOrchester, these special evenings never fail to get concertgoers into the Christmas spirit. The program includes pieces by Mozart, Schubert and Bach.

- Mozart’s Requiem – It was at the St. Stephen’s Cathedral that Mozart married Constanze, had two of his children baptized and lay in state after his death. St. Stephen’s Cathedral commemorates its most famous parishioner on December 4th every year with a performance of Mozart’s Requiem.
