Avignon - Provence

Avignon's Pont St-Bénézet is immortalized in the famous song Sur le Pont d'Avignon, but there's more to Avignon than this bridge alone. Its Palais des Papes is the biggest existing Gothic palace in the world and the Palais, the bridge and its massive ramparts are all Unesco World Heritage sites.
