Château de Versailles – An Evening of Royal Serenade & Night Fountains:
The Château de Versailles or Palace of Versailles, home to three French monarchs, is one of France’s top attractions. Millions of visitors come to Versailles each year to admire the Palace and its magnificent gardens.
The exquisite furniture, art and antiques in the Palace showcase the opulence and grandeur of the monarchs who lived here. There’s so much to see in the Palace, not to mention its gardens and the Grand Trianon.
Royal Serenade – Hall of Mirrors
The opulent Hall of Mirrors (Galerie des Glaces) was where Louis XIV would ceremonially walk through each morning from his private apartment to the chapel. Grand court functions, celebration of births, marriages and balls used to take place in this grand room.
Visitors have always been able to visit the royal apartments, but now you too can also experience some of the flamboyant times of Louis XIV by viewing the apartments of the Sun King, to the sound of a royal serenade.
During the summer months, as the sun sets and fills the Hall of Mirrors with its golden glow, dancers from the Baroque dance company L’Eventail and musicians from Les Musiciens de Saint-Julien will bring back the tradition of a royal ball in the grand apartments of the king.
Musical Fountain Show
As night falls, the Royal Garden of Louis XIV turns on a light spectacle during which visitors can discover colourful illuminated groves and fountains in play. As a finale, fireworks will light the night sky to conclude this spectacular display.
The Royal Serenade & the Night Fountains Show in Versailles is an evening of royal extravaganza. You can book your tickets Here.
