France Rail Pass Premium Offers a Concierge Service that Matches a Grand Hotel:
At most hotels, you have to show up at the place before you can begin to seek assistance from their concierge service, if it exists at all. This is not so with the new Personal Concierge service that France Rail is introducing – a concierge service that promises to match that worthy of a grand hotel.
For travellers planning to embark on some train travel in France, the France Rail Pass Premium provides concierge services that you can make use of the moment you book your France Rail Pass Premium. The Concierge services include traditional services such as:
- hotel bookings
- personalized travel arrangements, such as airport transfers
- recommendations for restaurants and the booking thereof
- bookings for operas, ballets, galleries or last minute tickets to shows
- tailor-made events such as helicopter rides, boat trips, etc.
And for travellers who require more exclusive services, the Concierge service can arrange for a personal trainer, chef or limousine service, wine-tasting, anniversaries, shopping trips or baby-sitting.
Once you have booked your France Rail Pass Premium, you can access the Concierge service to look after all your travel arrangements. Travellers can phone, fax or email their dedicated Consierge service team. They are available 7 days a week from 9:00 to 20:00 and speak a range of languages.
The France Rail Pass is available to non-European residents only. This Concierge service begins from 1st April 2011. Click here for Rail Europe U.S. >. Click here for Rail Europe Australia >

We r 2 older ladies our p agent said their is concierge service ato the train stations toulouse to bordeaux to help us with our luggage we r both a bit handica p p ed use canes. I have never heard of this, is v it true or do we need to find a driver instead
Thanks for aNY info.
Hi Lynne,
The concierge services referred to in the above post refers to booking services available to travellers who book a France Rail Pass Premium and not what you’re after. If your travel agent is aware of any other concierge services, they should make the booking for you. From my experiences, there is usually limited services and personnel at French train stations, especially the regional ones.
– SNCF does have good support services for travellers with disability, however conditions apply and the service has to be pre-arranged.
– If you’re travelling with a large case and can’t manage this yourself, there is a door-to-door delivery service that you can book (note delivery is the next day)
If you are arranging a driver, you’ll need to make sure that the driver can meet you near your train carriage and not at the main concourse. If you can’t find a driver to meet you, consider travelling by bus. Your luggage can be stored in the luggage compartment under the bus and so no lifting. Flixbus is one of the bus services that do Toulouse to Bordeaux. I’m sure there are many others around.

Thank you for the info. I feel that there really is no helpo at the stations. I like theidea of the Bus-so much easier. I have a friend who lives in the area and she may be able to find a driver for us from the hotel in Toulouse to Bordeaux for a reasonable prive, but if not the bus sounds good. My friend uses a cane and I am not able to lift anything so those are 2 possibliities.
Thank you for your information.
Dear Lynne,
I’m glad that you like the bus idea. From your Toulouse hotel you can catch a taxi to the Toulouse bus terminus and at Bordeaux station, there usually are taxis to get you to your hotel. My husband and I have been doing a lot of train travel recently (in Italy, France and Germany) and although we are able-bodied, we don’t find it particularly easy, especially with big cases. There’s usually a fare amount of walking involved to get to the platform and your train carriage. That’s when we started noticing these intercity buses.
All the best with your travel arrangements.
Kind regards,
Helen
