HMS Belfast is closed because in November 2011 a pedestrian walkway from the embankment onto the ship suddenly collapsed into the Thames, injuring two men. You can get any train from Gatwick into London that stops at Clapham Junction. From Clapham Junction there are 4 or 5 trains an hour to Woking. The second link gives an idea of what Clapham Junction platforms are like and the number of steps for each platform.
