Since the Abbey Road album, Beatles fans from around the world have been coming to this famous Abbey Road pedestrian crossing to imitate the Fab Four crossing and pose for photos.
The Abbey Road zebra crossing outside the Abbey Road Studios is now protected by heritage listing. This famous pedestrian crossing has been given a Grade II heritage listing. This means that no one can change or remove the crossing without the approval of the local authorities.
For those who are interested in the rock music scene, there are a couple of tours that you can do which will allow you to discover London’s Rock Music history. These comprehensive London Rock Music tours cover everything from rock ‘n’ roll landmarks in Bohemian Soho to the north London neighbourhoods of Camden Town, Hampstead Village and Heath, Muswell Hill, Archway and Islington.
