Arriving and Departing Paris by AirParis Charles de Gaulle Airport (Roissy)Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), also known as Roissy, is 26 km (16 miles) northeast of Paris. Most international flights land at CDG, and it's the only airport with a TGV (high-speed train) station which is useful if you want to connect straight out to other cities in France. Renovation work on terminal 1 started in 2004 and is scheduled to be finished by the end of 2008. It comprises four successive phases, each of which corresponds to a quarter of the terminal, so be prepared for some organisational disarray. Maps of Terminals (PDFs): Terminal 1 | Terminal 2 ABCD | Terminal 2 EF | Terminal 3 Getting into Paris from CDGYou can get into town from CDG by train, bus, shuttle or taxi. If you've got heavy or large bags, taking the train can be a hassle, especially in rush-hours. Bus, shuttle or taxis are a better option. If you haven't, then the train is not only cheaper, but it conveniently connects directly into the Métro.
