The Paris Marathon

While the Paris Marathon (registrations closed at 35000 this year) lacks the international profile of the London Marathon, its spectacular course offers runners the opportunity to take in the sights of some of the city's most famous landmarks. Tough on the cobblestones, though!

The French Open

Held on clay at the famous Roland Garros Stadium, the French Open tennis tournament draws international tennis stars in late May and early June.
