Ottoman Village Experience – Live from Cumalikizik

Cumalikizik’s historic Ottoman houses make the village a Turkish national monument

Helen Page greets you from the historic Ottoman village of Cumalikizik, located on the lower slopes of Mount Uludağ, south-east of Bursa. It is one of five villages that have been preserved as national monuments.

“Wow water everywhere. This place is just amazing. There’s water flowing down all the way from the top of the town and this is spring water. This is what we’ve been drinking. What Han (our guide) said is that they bottle this water and sell it in the supermarket. So this is what we’ve been paying water for – 1 Lira. We could have come here and have our drink here. So, I’ve off upstream to have another look. Ciao.”
