Restaurants in San Polo, Venice

It's important to check that the restaurant at which you're interested in eating is open! Restaurants in Venice do not all close on a Monday, rest days vary, and not all open at night. Booking is highly advisable, especially when you want an outside table. And not all restaurants (especially the smaller ones) take credit cards.

Trattoria San Tomà
San Polo, 2864/A
Interior garden and outside courtyard, creative cooking based on grilled meat and fish.

Trattoria Ai Tosi

San Polo, 1587
In 1877, Antonio, the grandfather of the current owner, Luigi Gierardini, opened a shop selling wine and salted cod, which is still served in the restaurant together with traditional Venetian cuisine.Located in the heart of Rialto's fish market.

Osteria Vecio Fritolin
Calle della Regina (Rialto) 2262
"Old Fry Shop" in Venetian dialect, not far from the Rialto market, a traditional establishment that has taken a new direction under owner Irina Feguia.

Bancogiro
Campo San Giacometto 122 (Rialto)
In the heart of the Rialto market, under the arched, 16th-century portico. Snack on cicchetti at the counter and outside tables or dine upstairs on the freshest fish dishes.

Vini da Pinto
San Polo 367, Pescheria
Tables are set for diners in a small piazza with a view of the Rialto fish market's portico. Snacking on tasty cicchetti is the go here.

Ristorante Da Fiore

San Polo, 2002
041721308
Once an old Venetian tavern, da Fiore has become, thanks to Mara and Maurizio Martin, one of the more well-known restaurants in the city.

Muro Vino e Cucina - Restaurant e Bar
San Polo, Rialto, 222
"Meeting point for Venetians, ancient and modern, tradition and design". For those who stop by only for a “cicheto” and “spritz” before dinner as well as for those who are used to having a meal in a comfortable and informal environment

Antica Birraria La Corte
Campo San Polo, San Polo 2168
These guys take their pizzas very seriously, evident not just in the size of the menu. Perfect lunchtime stop after a stretch of overambitious sightseeing.

Naranzaria
San Polo 130
Trendy newish osteria in Rialto market. Dine at tables overlooking the Grand Canal. Japanese chef prepares sushi at lunchtime. Good wine by glass.
