Review of Our Stay at the Alveston Manor Hotel : Our hotel in Stratford-upon-Avon was the Macdonald Alveston Manor Hotel which is about a 10 minute walk from the centre of Stratford-upon-Avon. This hotel is set in beautiful grounds and has a restful feel about it. Our room was a nice size, but it was at the back, overlooks the car park and was quite a long walk from the reception. For those with mobility problems, a tip is to ask for a room closer to the reception. Whilst the hotel looks … [Read more...]
Treliska Guest House – St. Ives
A Review of Treliska Guest House in St. Ives: St. Ives offers a good range of hotels, guest houses and B&Bs and for our stay in this town we wanted a place that was in the town centre. Treliska's website was one of the few that caught my attention and it gave good vibes. The breakfast menu looked unreal for a guest house and, being coffee addicts, the final hook for us was the "fresh bean to cup coffee". From our experience, the descriptions of many B&Bs and guest houses on the … [Read more...]
Killarney Towers Hotel & Leisure Centre – Killarney
A Review of Killarney Towers Hotel & Leisure Centre : Killarney Towers Hotel is a three-storey modern hotel in the heart of Killarney city. It is very convenient to the many restaurants, pubs in town and the shopping area. We had a triple room so there was plenty of space to spread out, quite a treat after some of the smaller places we've stayed at. The bathroom has nice green marble benchtop and there's a jacuzzi in the bathroom. After a busy day of travelling, the jacuzzi is a nice … [Read more...]

Free Wi-Fi Access in Glasgow
Where to Get Free Wi-Fi Access in Glasgow We arrive in Glasgow in the early evening with just enough time to make it to George Square in the city centre. Our hotel, the Radisson Hotel is about a 15 minutes walk away. We wanted to take snaps of the George Square and the City Chambers before the light faded and also to see if we can get internet access. The Radisson wants GBP 15.00 for 24-hour usage, but we're only here overnight. As luck would have it, the tourist office is on George Square … [Read more...]
