Christmas markets in Cologne (Weihnachtsmarkt): The Christmas markets season is here and when it comes to Christmas markets in Europe, the city of Cologne puts on quite a show. There are actually six Christmas markets in this town and we visited the Cologne Cathedral Weihnachtsmarkt, the biggest of them all. Getting into the mood for the Yuletide Season at Heidelberg Weihnachtsmarkt: It's close to dinnertime when our coach pulls into Heidelberg. It's pitch dark and we're dropped off a little distance from the Christmas market as the coach can't get into the Old Town. It's brrrrh cold...and part of me wants to stay back in the warm coach. Christmas Markets in Innsbruck

Christmas Carols from the Golden Roof: Innsbruck is a really charming town at any time of the year, but at Christmas it's magic.  It has a full-scale Christmas market, the main one being in the historic Old Town (Altstadt), right in front of the landmark Golden Roof - Innsbruck's greatest tourist attraction.
