We were on the South Downs Way, one of England’s fine walking paths and staying at the Frog Firle Youth Hostel. The lovely Cuckmere River on South Downs WaySome time ago…. From London’s Victoria Station we board the bus and head off to Eastbourne, a 3 hr trip to the south coast. Most of the time was snoozing time. At Eastbourne, we then walked the 1and ½ miles to the Beachy Head Youth Hostel (no longer operational). So which of the fabulous seven sisters is the best? First a little about our recent walk along the South Downs Way in England. This is a wonderful walk over the chalk downs. And just because it does not have the fells and peaks of other walks doesn't mean it's not a bit of a challenge, especially the first day out of Eastbourne. .
