Barbican and Mayflower Steps

The historic Barbican in Plymouth is home to Britain's maritime heritage. It was from Plymouth that Sir Francis Drake set sail and from the Mayflower Steps that the Mayflower departed with its human cargo of Pilgrims in 1620.

The Barbican is also an area that is full of restaurants, pubs, shops and entertainment for the family, including the National Marine Aquarium.
