St. Moritz
The trendy ski-resort town of St. Moritz is one of the world's glitziest and most expensive winter resorts. This is very evident from the types of shops you see here.
In St. Moritz, you can buy everything from Chanel skis to Cartier diamonds in the swanky boutiques. And if you need a gold mobile phone at CHF 22,000, they've got it here too. For such a small town centre, the concentration of designer label boutiques is amazing. Names such as Etienne Aigner, Bucherer, Bally, Cartier, Ferré, T. Mugler, Prada, Dolce & Gabana, Gucci, Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, Versace, DKNY, Ralph Lauren, Giorgio Armani, Louis Vuitton, Escada, Bulgari and many others can be found in this tiny place.
Whilst St. Moritz is a winter paradise offering skiing, ice-skating, toboggoning and snowboarding, accompanied by après-ski fun, there are also lots of other activities happening in summer, e.g. polo competitions, sailing regattas, mountaineering and hiking.
We were here in summer and the place was much quieter. In this album, we cover shots around the town centre. Our other albums cover the Lake Walk, Piz Nair and the St. Moritz Design Gallery.
