Holly Martins arranges to meet Harry Lime, who made a fortune on the black market.\u00a0 While we were at the highest point, Tony tried to re-enact a scene in the movie, but he got the story a little muddled up.\u00a0 Nevertheless, it was fun being up there with the great panoramic views. As a fun park, I thought Prater looked a little tired and after the ferris wheel ride, we headed back to Stephansplatz.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" vspace=\"3\" align=\"left\" width=\"85\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.travelsignposts.com\/Destination\/d\/3732-2\/IMG_6720.jpg?resize=85%2C110\" hspace=\"3\" alt=\"Vienna Stadtpark\" height=\"110\" style=\"width: 85px; height: 110px\" title=\"Vienna Stadtpark\" \/>After the Prater Park, another Viennese institution is its coffee houses and the heurigers or wine taverns.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0As we walked around Stephanplatz and Alexanderplatz there were numerous coffee shops with great window displays filled with the richest looking cakes and pastries.\u00a0 It was so tempting and we had to resist being drawn into those caverns of indulgence.\u00a0 There was so much to see and we couldn&#8217;t afford to let those calorie ladened cakes\u00a0slow us down.<\/p>\n<p>For those who enjoy the Imperial side of Vienna, you could trace the footsteps of the Hapsbergs, visit the Imperial Palace or <img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" vspace=\"3\" align=\"right\" width=\"110\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.travelsignposts.com\/Destination\/d\/3240-2\/IMG_6776.jpg?resize=110%2C85\" hspace=\"3\" alt=\"Marchfelderhof Restaurant \" height=\"85\" style=\"width: 110px; height: 85px\" title=\"Marchfelderhof Restaurant \" \/>Schonbrunn Palace.\u00a0 A walk around Vienna Stadtpark is also very enjoyable.<\/p>\n<p>For the evening we&#8217;ve been to the Marchfelderhof Restaurant on a couple of occasions and on each occasion have enjoyed this unusually kitschly decorated restaurant.\u00a0 The toilets are something else altogether &#8211; you&#8217;ve got to see them to believe it.<\/p>\n<p>Helen<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Vienna is a place where public transport is easy to use and if you had a few days here, the Vienna card is really handy and cost effective.\u00a0For Euro 18.50, you get 72 hours of unlimited travel on the bus, tram and underground and discounts and benefits at 210 museums and sights, theaters, concerts, shops, [&#8230;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_monsterinsights_skip_tracking":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_active":false,"_monsterinsights_sitenote_note":"","_monsterinsights_sitenote_category":0,"jetpack_post_was_ever_published":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_access":"","_jetpack_dont_email_post_to_subs":false,"_jetpack_newsletter_tier_id":0,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paywalled_content":false,"_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[21],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-114","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-european-river-cruise"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.5 -
