are at their most varied and attractive where Eastgate Street meets Bridge Street.\u00a0 See this elaborate\u00a0Victorian Eastgate Clock, said to be the most photographed clock in Britain after Big Ben.\u00a0 Chester was established as a camp in AD79 to defend fertile land near the River.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" vspace=\"3\" align=\"right\" of\u00a0Deva.\u00a0The walls were refortified throughout Chester\u2019s history and they now offer\u00a0 interesting and picturesques views of the city.\u00a0 The wall is very comfortable to walk on and there are a number of interpretation plaques, which\u00a0orientate you and highlight\u00a0its fascinating history.\u00a0\u00a0Just in case you are a little concerned about the time it takes, the wall&#8217;s circuit is 3 km long and can be completed at a gentle stroll in an hour and a half.\u00a0 However, if you&#8217;re interested in reading the histories and taking snaps, then I would allow
