Other celebrated individuals include Henry&#8217;s mother Philippa of Lancaster, a poet, painter, famous navigators, cartographers and kings.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.travelsignposts.com\/destination\/Portugal\/Lisbon\/portugal_028.jpg.html\" title=\"Monument to the Discoveries, Lisbon, Portugal\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" border=\"0\" vspace=\"5\" align=\"right\" width=\"110\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.travelsignposts.com\/Destination\/d\/21182-2\/portugal_028.jpg?resize=110%2C85\" hspace=\"5\" alt=\"Monument to the Discoveries, Lisbon, Portugal\" height=\"85\" style=\"width: 110px; height: 85px\" title=\"Monument to the Discoveries, Lisbon, Portugal\" \/><\/a>Regrettably we didn&#8217;t have the opportunity to go inside, however there is a lift that takes you up to the sixth floor and then a flight of steps leads you to the top for a panoramic view of Belem.
