{"id":391,"date":"2008-08-12T05:47:24","date_gmt":"2008-08-11T19:47:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.travelsignposts.com\/wordpress\/?p=391"},"modified":"2008-08-12T05:47:24","modified_gmt":"2008-08-11T19:47:24","slug":"navigating-heathrow-airport-london","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.travelsignposts.com\/wordpress\/england\/navigating-heathrow-airport-london","title":{"rendered":"Navigating Heathrow Airport &#8211; London"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"float: right\"><script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\r\ngoogle_ad_client = \"pub-1009507070974015\";\r\ngoogle_alternate_ad_url = \"http:\/\/www.travelsignposts.com\/google_adsense_script.html\";\r\ngoogle_ad_width = 300;\r\ngoogle_ad_height = 250;\r\ngoogle_ad_format = \"300x250_as\";\r\ngoogle_ad_type = \"text_image\";\r\n\/\/2007-06-30: TSBlog 300x250\r\ngoogle_ad_channel = \"2928184950\";\r\ngoogle_color_border = \"FFFFFF\";\r\ngoogle_color_bg = \"FFFFFF\";\r\ngoogle_color_link = \"FF6600\";\r\ngoogle_color_text = \"000000\";\r\ngoogle_color_url = \"339933\";\r\n\/\/-->\r\n<\/script>\r\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\"\r\n  src=\"http:\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/show_ads.js\">\r\n<\/script><\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re not a frequent visitor to London, navigating London Heathrow Airport can be daunting.\u00a0 Having just been through Singapore Changi Airport, the process from going from one terminal to another is so simple.\u00a0 Hop on the very easily accessible skytrain and in no time at all you&#8217;re at whichever terminal you need to get to.\u00a0 Not so in London!<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re flying in on BA, then chances are you&#8217;ll probably arrive through the brand new\u00a0Terminal 5.\u00a0 However our SQ flight arrives at T3 and as we were transferring to a domestic flight, we had to make our way to T1.\u00a0 To do this, we just followed the purple Flight Connections sign until we reached the transfer bus area.\u00a0\u00a0<em>Note<\/em>: It was a\u00a0very long walk and be warned that although there were trolley ramps installed along the way, they were all devoid of trolleys.\u00a0 If you&#8217;re carrying a lot of shopping or heavy bags, this long walk after a longhaul flight can be stressful.\u00a0\u00a0The dedicated bus are free and depart every 6 minutes.\u00a0 They will take you to your departure terminal driving through some really unattractive workshop areas.\u00a0 Not really what they should be exposing new tourists to.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What&#8217;s new at Heathrow &#8211;<br \/>\n<\/strong>As part of\u00a0a\u00a0new\u00a0programme to enhance facilities for\u00a0domestic passengers, domestic travellers\u00a0are now\u00a0using the same departure lounges as international passengers at T1.
