We boarded our coach at 9.00 a.m. however road closures along the way caused huge delays and we finally got into <em>Eternal City<\/em> at 6 p.m.\u00a0 It was a relief when we finally reached the outskirts of town and familiar landmarks came into view.\u00a0 Our hotel this evening was the Ateneo Garden Palace\u00a0which describes itself as &#8216;centrally located between the University La Sapienza and the Termini station&#8217;.\u00a0 In reality, it was quite a long walk to Termini along poorly lit streets.\u00a0 Given a choice, we would not choose this location again as it was not convenient, transport-wise, to get into the centro historico.<\/p>\n<p>Helen\u00a0<font color=\"#ffffff\" face=\"Eras Light ITC\">centrally located between the University \u201cLa Sapienza\u201d and the Termini railwaycentrally located between the University \u201cLa Sapienza\u201d and the Termini railwaycentrally located between the University \u201cLa Sapienza\u201d and the Termini railway<\/font><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This morning we bade farewell to Venetia as we took one more ride on the Grand Canal to Maestre.
