Each year <strong><em>The Magic of Advent<\/em><\/strong>, as the Christmas market is known, transforms City Hall Square into a winter wonderland.<\/p>\n<div class=\"adLargerect\"><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js\"><\/script>\n<ins class=\"adsbygoogle\"\n     style=\"display:inline-block;width:300px;height:250px\"\n     data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-1009507070974015\"\n     data-ad-slot=\"7417206609\"><\/ins>\n<script>\n     (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});\n<\/script><\/div>\n<p>The Neo-Gothic <strong>City Hall<\/strong> provides a fitting backdrop for the countless stands offering snacks, handicrafts, Christmas tree decorations and gifts.<\/p>\n<p>And when you&#8217;ve had one too many Christmas treats, take a romantic stroll in the neighbouring <strong>Rathauspark. <\/strong>The trees in the Rathauspark are covered with decorations and sparkling lights which form a sea of stars as night falls.\u00a0 Families come here to listen to the <em>&#8216;Talking Tree&#8217;<\/em> whilst lovers meet beneath the <em>&#8216;Heart Tree&#8217;<\/em>.<\/p>\n<h4>Other Christmas Markets<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>The <strong>Christmas Village<\/strong> on <strong>Maria-Theresien-Platz<\/strong> &#8211; the square between the Kunsthistorisches Museum and the Natural History Museum &#8211; is full of stalls laden with attractive handcrafted wares.<\/li>\n<li>Attractive gifts and traditional cribs can be found on the traditional <strong>Altwiener Christkindlmarkt <\/strong>(Old Viennese Christmas Market) in the <strong>Freyung <\/strong>district in the old town.<\/li>\n<li>The romantic <strong>Culture and Christmas Market <\/strong>in front of<strong> Sch\u00f6nbrunn Palace<\/strong> stands out with a huge selection of traditional handmade tree decorations.<\/li>\n<li>The Christmas market in front of the <strong>Belvedere Palace<\/strong> also has an imperial
