Wieskirche high altar

The altarpiece is by Balthasar August Albrecht, the Munich court painter. The statues of the four fathers of the western church – Jerome, Ambrose, Augustine and Gregory the Great were the work of Anton Sturm, a Tyrolean sculpture.
