St-Paul de Vence, a fortified hill village, has been a gathering place for many famous painters and writers, as well as those aspiring to be famous.

Chagall, Matisse, Picasso, Modigliani, Signac are just a few of the artists who have gathered here and there have been many others after them, making this a celebrity village.
