Assisi Rocca Maggiore Fortress or La Rocca
Rocca Maggiore is a huge medieval fortress towering over Assisi. The hike uphill to the castle and the climb to the top of the tower requires determination, but the panoramic views of Assisi town and the surrounding Umbrian valley make it very worthwhile.
