Monte Cassino

Monte Cassino was the scene of four assaults by Allied Forces against the Germans during WWII. On our visit to the Montecassino Abbey, which was totally destroyed during the bombings, we also stopped at the Commonwealth Cassino War Cemetery and the Cassino Memorial.
