Find a Cyprus Phone Number, Phone Code or Telephone Directory

Finding a good Cyprus telephone directory that makes it easy to get a residential or mobile phone number is not so simple, especially with the divided island, but area phone codes are now within the subscriber numbers.

The Cyprus country phone code is 357. In southern Cyprus phone numbers have eight digits, to be dialled from within Cyprus or abroad. All mobile phone numbers also have eight digits, starting with '9' followed by '9' or '7' (CYTAmobile-Vodafone) or '6' (MTN).

If you want to dial a phone number in the the Turkish occupied northern part of Cyprus from abroad, you have to use the Turkish country code (90) + the Turkish area code 392 for Northern Cyprus + the 7 digit subscriber phone number.

If you want to call the North from the South, you can use the area phone code 0139 followed by the 7 digit phone number, and it's charged at local rates. If you call the South from Northern Cyprus, you use the area code 0123, BUT you pay international call rates!

The yellow pages "a comprehensive and reliable market guide including more than 1300 professional categories covering every specialisation and branch of activity".

In English, but the listings don't seem to be complete, and it seems to more of a paid listings effort; claims to have been going since 1996.
