Tour de France – all eyes on Monaco

All eyes on Monaco with the Countdown to the start of the Tour de France time-trial this afternoon.

Today’s strenuous route is apparently unusual for a time-trial on the first day so it’s all excitement from Day 1.

I hope you’ve all stocked up on French cheeses, French wines and lots of baguette for the duration of the Tour de France – well, maybe not the baguette as they’ll be stale by the end of the Tour.

I read in the papers this morning that one TDF cycling enthusiast has moved his training bike into his living room so that he can keep up his training whilst following the race.  His wife apparently doesn’t mind – what an understanding and supportive wife!
