An Evening of Fine Wines and Food at Palais Coburg – Vienna

For the third year running, the World Wine Festival in Vienna will bring together leading growers, international experts and wine and food connoisseurs in Vienna from April 21-24, 2010.

Held at the impressive Palais Coburg, some 50 leading international wine producers will be in attendance at this Wine Festival.  Participants include Smith-Haut-Lafitte and Lascombes from the Bordeaux region, Champagne producers Pol Roger and Ruinart, Meo Camuzet from Burgundy, Ornellaia

from Italy, Roda from Spain and Egon Müller from Germany. Also in attendance will be some of Austria’s leading wine producers.

Fine wines and excellent food is the order of the festival and diners can experience excellent wines and gourmet dishes first hand at a series of exclusive wine dinners. German Michelin-starred chef Christoph Rainer from Villa Rothschild in Königstein and Swiss cook of the year Marcus G. Lindner from Mesa in Zurich will be serving up the culinary delights at a gala evening on April 23, 2010.

Palais Coburg is one of Vienna’s grand and elegant hotels with six centuries of history.  Built on the defence wall of the emperor’s city, it was also the residence of the House of Coburg-Gotha in the 19th century.
