You never know what you'll find at London's Markets

For a shopping and sightseeing experience with a difference, head for one of the many London markets.  Even if you’re not looking for anything in particular, it’s interesting to stroll around the stalls to check out what foods are in season and what locals are buying and selling.  At  Borough Market, London’s favourite food market, you’ll be able to try gourmet cheeses, hams and other specialty foods and at Bermondsey, London’s premier weekly antiques market, traders come to look for stock as well.

Visits to London markets are FREE,  and you never know what you’ll find or who you’ll meet – haute couture designers like Galliano, Armani and others have been seen at Camden Market.

When looking for things to do in London that don’t cost a lot (only what you want to spend)I don’t think there’s a better activity. Portobello Market is my favourite – loads of cool stuff and people and if you guy on Saturday’s there’s usually a travelling band playing in the street!
