Through the Passion Facade Gaudi wanted to portray the desolation, the pain and the death of Christ. In sharp contrast to the Nativity Facade, there are no references to the joy of life in the Passion Facade. You don't see any floral or animal ornamentation here. The feeling here is one of the irreversible loss of death.
