Home / France / Monet at Giverny 46
Monet at Giverny - France When you visit Monet's Garden, you have a sensation of almost standing in one of the many Monet prints. The Japanese bridge, weeping willows and water lilies are instantly recognisable from the many versions of these scenes that Monet painted.
Monet was very much driven by colour and light and he spent 40 years painting various aspects of his garden. One wonders if Monet created his garden to suit his paintings.
Monet's Garden is a very popular tourist attraction and receives some 500,000 people each year.
