An Armada Chest of Flemish workmanship
This Armada Chest in the Torquay Museum is believed to have come from one of the Spanish ships wrecked off the Irish Coast. They were usually placed in the Parish Church for Elizabethan social services to raise money for distressed sailors who had taken part in the Armada campaign. [Torquay - Devon - England]
