Grand Hotel Praha Enjoys a Unique Location Opposite the Astronomical Clock:

Grand Hotel Praha

Grand Hotel Praha – Prague

Visitors to Prague have a choice of many grand and luxurious hotels to stay at, but only one of these, the Grand Hotel Praha, enjoys a unique location in the centre of the Old Town.

Grand Hotel Praha

The Grand Hotel Praha is a charming hotel in a heritage building that was originally called the Apostolic Residence, a 14th century aristocratic house. When it was expanded through the acquisition of two neighbouring Baroque buildings – the Dum U zlaté koruny (House at the Golden Crown) and Dum u zlatého koníka (House at the Golden Horse), the Apostolic Residence name was changed to Grand Hotel Praha.

Due to the heritage status of old Apostolic Residence building, the Grand Hotel is unable to install a lift in this heritage section. But you don’t have to worry about having to carry your own luggage, there are plenty of staff on hand to provide assistance. A further benefit of being in the original building is that the rooms have a view of the famous Prague Astronomical Clock and the Old Town.

What’s more, being on the famous Royal Route, which is the most popular sightseeing walk in Prague, guests of the Grand Hotel can easily stroll to the main historical sites and to the theatres, art galleries and the central shopping zone.

Astronomical Clock

One of the main attractions in Prague is its 600 year-old Astronomical Clock and the Grand Hotel Praha enjoys the unique position of being directly opposite this famous Prague attraction. So apart from all the usual facilities available from a four-star establishment, guests can enjoy a wonderful view of the Astronomical Clock from inside the hotel’s comfortable environs.

Jazz in Praque

Jazz Dinner Concerts are part of Grand Hotel Praha tradition. For anyone looking to enjoy some jazz in Prague, you’re in luck, because this hotel offers guests the ability enjoy some of the most famous jazz compositions while dining at the Grand Café Praha.  There will be music by jazz legends such as Armstrong, Sinatra, Gershwin, Miller, Mancini, Porter, Berlin and many others. As an added bonus, the Grand Café Praha also has a spectacular view at Old Town Square and the famous Astronomical Clock.

Of course you don’t have to stay at the Grand Hotel Praha to enjoy the Jazz Dinner Concert. You can book you Jazz Dinner Concert Here.
