Marchés de Noël 2019 – Where to Find Paris Christmas Markets and Dates:

Christmas is fast approaching, and for those who love Christmas markets, Paris has plenty to offer. Although, the famous Champs-Elysées Christmas Market is not operating again this year, fret not, as the market has found a new home at the Tuileries Garden. There are also lots of other great Marchés de Noël in Paris to explore. From the gigantic Christmas market at La Défense to the smaller village-like market at Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the French capital is alive with Christmas markets. There are also a number of new international themed Christmas markets . Some of these include the Noel a l’Anglaise at St George’s Anglican Church, a Swedish Christmas market and the Japanese Christmas market at the Passage Choiseul.
Christmas Market – Jardin des Tuileries
Dates: Nov. 14, 2019 – Jan. 5, 2020
Jardin des Tuileries is now the new home of the Champs-Elysées Christmas Market – well, at least for the time being. In this beautiful Paris park you’ll find 100 wooden chalets offering arts and crafts, food and products from all over France. The giant ferris wheel, a 1,200-sqm skating rink and fun rides are all there for kids’ entertainment.
Christmas Market: La Défense Esplanade Christmas Village

When it comes to Christmas market size, the La Défense Christmas Market is hard to beat for size. The Parvis de la Défense plays host to one of the biggest Christmas markets in the Ile-de-France region. There are more than 350 chalets selling trinkets, handicrafts and thousands of other items that you could give as gifts during the Christmas season. Christmas is a time for special treats and the star attractions of the Christmas market are the chalets with local Christmas fare such as hams from Corsica, cheese from the Alps, French chocolate and lots of other temptations. And Santa will be around the whole day to delight the young ones and pose for pictures with them.
Christmas Market: Saint-Germain-des-Prés
Dates : Nov. 30, 2019 – Jan. 5, 2020
Getting there : Metro: Saint-Germain-des-Prés
Saint-Germain-des-Prés is always an interesting district to visit. Lining the Boulevard Saint-Germain, you’ll find no less than 40 chalets oozing with the magic of Christmas. This is a nice Christmas market to stop by for some shopping and to taste some seasonal goodies.
Christmas Market: Champs de Mars
Dates: mid-Dec – Jan 1, 2020
Getting there: Metro: Ecole Militaire or RER: Champ de Mars – Tour Eiffel
Located at the foot of the Eiffel Tower, this charming Christmas market has 100 wooden chalets specializing in crafts and Christmas decorations, as well as regional products for your gourmet meals or as gifts. This Christmas market also has a skating rink which ice-skaters will enjoy.
Christmas Market: Noël dans les étoiles (Christmas under the Stars)
Dates : Dec 1, 2019 – Jan 6, 2020
Getting there : Metro: Les Halles | RER: Chatelet – Les Halles
There are 70 chalets at this Christmas village selling crafts, decorations, food, etc. The market is at Place Joachim-du-Bellay (Quartier des Halles) around the Fontaine des Innocents.
Christmas Market Forum des Halles
Dates: Nov. 14 – Dec. 29, 2019
Under the Canopée of les Halles there will be a second Christmas Market Forum des Halles. Twenty exhibitors will be present in a magical and festive atmosphere in the heart of Paris. Here you’ll find the opportunity to discover handmade and original gifts!
Christmas Market: City Hall
Dates : Dec. 2019 – Jan. 2020 (to be confirmed)
Getting there : Metro: Hotel de Ville
The City Hall square is transformed into a great illuminated forest made up of fir trees and white birch trees. Kids can enjoy rides on the big merry-go-round with its wooden horses or on the little train. For the adults, the various stalls of Parisian artisanal products, waffles, pancakes, and mulled wine will delight the taste buds. Christmassy atmosphere guaranteed.

Christmas Market: Notre Dame Cathedral
Dates : Dec 13 – 29, 2019
Getting there : Metro:
Square Viviani, home to Paris’s oldest tree, hosts the annual Notre-Dame Christmas Market. Ceramics, jewellery, decorative ironwork, leather items, tableware… a multitude of items to admire or buy as gifts, while soaking up the festive atmosphere with a glass of mulled wine.
Christmas Market: Alsace Christmas Market at Gare de l’Est
Dates : Dec 4 – 20, 2019
Getting there : Metro: Gare de l’Est
The courtyard of the Gare de l’Est is the place to go for delicious food specialities from Alsace. This is an opportunity to sample genuine pretzels, gingerbread and Christmas biscuits as well as Alsace wines. Christmas decorations and fabrics are also on sale.
Christmas Market: Christmas Market – “Noël en Auteuil, les Les Fééries d’Auteuil”
Dates : Dec. 7 – 15, 2019
Getting there : Metro: Jasmin
The Les Fééries d’Auteuil is a week of festivities at Christmas time, but this is also a Christmas market with a good purpose. It is organized by the Fondation d’Auteuil which welcomes and educates disadvantaged youngsters. Stroll through the Christmas market with its rustic wooden chalets selling regional produce like foie gras, cheese, wine, as well as Christmas decorations like nativity scene figures, Christmas trees, baubles, garlands, etc. There are also concerts, workshops for children, second-hand goods and lots more!
Christmas Market: Vincennes Christmas Market
Dates : Dec. 2019 (to be confirmed)
Getting there : Metro: Line 1, Chateau de Vincennes
The magic of Christmas comes to the Vincennes town hall square. Chalets decorated with festive colours, sweet and savoury specialities, many gift ideas and a space reserved for the Christmas decorations await visitors during this holiday season.
Christmas Village: Paris 14
Dates: December 6 – 15, 2019
This Christmas market on Avenue du General-Leclerc features arts and crafts from around the world.

The Christmas Market on the Champs-Elysee started on November 15 and will end of January 4th 2016. It closed for a couple of days after the Paris attack, but it is open now. If you’re planning on visiting the Christmas Market, stay tuned in to the latest news in Paris for any developments there.

The Christmas market at Place de la Nation is not taking place this year. Went there today and there was nothing there!
