The Goring Hotel Goes Down in History as the Chosen Hotel:

There are plenty of luxury hotels in London, but The Goring goes down in history as the hotel chosen by Kate Middleton’s family for their pre-wedding stay.  The Middletons hired the whole hotel to accommodate their family and friends and to host a reception for those not invited to Buckingham Palace.

About The Goring

The 5-star Goring Hotel has been owned and operated by the Goring family since it opened for business in 1910, making it the oldest family owned hotel in London.

There are 71 spacious rooms in The Goring and each room and suite in this hotel is unique. Rich colour range and fabrics, dark wood and ‘bespoke’ furniture give the place a glamourous, sophisticated and luxurious feel. A third of their rooms look into The Goring’s private garden whereas the others have views to Victoria Square or the quiet Beeston Place.  For those who fancy the Royal apartment that Kate Middleton stayed in, that comes at a price of £5,000, but The Goring does have rooms at less regal prices.

Close to Buckingham Palace

Located just 0.5 miles from Buckingham Palace, The Goring has all the trappings of a luxury hotel. For the Middletons, The Goring is within close proximity to Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey, making it an ideal choice for the Royal Wedding arrangements.

However, for the rest of us who do not have any royal engagements, The Goring is just a short distance from many London attractions such as the Houses of Parliament, Royal parks, West End theatres and the main London shopping districts.

The Dining Room at The Goring serves ‘proper’ British cuisine such as Smoked wild Scottish halibut, Roast Lincolnshire pork belly and Fillet of Beef Wellington.

The Goring has accommodated many rich, famous and royal guests in the past  and no doubt after the Royal Wedding it will be even more sought after.

For anyone looking for luxury accommodation that’s quintessentially English and in the centre of London, The Goring would fit the bill.  Read the reviews for The Goring and book this London hotel HERE.
