From St Pancras, The Eurostar Takes Travellers to Europe in a Matter of Hours:

St Pancras International

St Pancras - London Eurostar

St Pancras International, London’s newest international train station and home to the Eurostar, is centrally located on Euston Road in St Pancras London.

Apart from the Eurostar, there are three other main services that operate from St Pancras International:

  • East Midlands Trains provide link from St Pancras International to major cities in the Midlands and Northern England towns like Nottingham, Derby, Sheffield and Leeds.
  • First Capital Connect provide services from Bedford and Luton down to Brighton, through London.
  • Southeastern provides high-speed services to East London and Kent

More than a Station

St Pancras is more than a train station and even if you’re not travelling on the Eurostar to Paris, Brussels or Lille, it is worthwhile making a trip to St Pancras to explore this very modern station.

St Pancras is a regular venue for live music (Station Sessions) and events such as performing arts, charity do’s and celebrity appearances. The restaurants at St Pancras also hold their own events such as the weekly jazz brunch at the St Pancras Grand or champagne tasting at the Besserat Tasting Lounge. But if you’re not looking to splurge on a big meal here, there are plenty of coffee houses and food outlets where you can enjoy a light snack, without breaking the bank.  In fact the number of food outlets is quite impressive.

For the shopaholic, there is a range of High Street names, some boutiques, gift and book shops, as well as food outlets to browse around.

On the upper concourse, there are a couple of sculptures that are noteworthy:

Sir John Betjeman – a poet, writer and broadcaster, was instrumental in saving St Pancras from demolition in the 1960’s.  He was  fond of Victorian architecture.
The Meeting Place – is a 9-metre high bronze sculpture by Paul Day, a famous sculptor

Getting to St Pancras

St Pancras International

St Pancras International

If you’re travelling on the Eurostar to Paris, Brussels, Lille or anywhere else in Europe, St Pancras is easy to reach on the Tube from your London hotel. The following Tube lines serve King’s Cross St Pancras:

Circle |  Hammersmith & City |  Metropolitan |  Northern |  Piccadilly | Victoria

The King’s Cross St Pancras tube station is connected to St Pancras International. The Eurostar platform is on the upper concourse, just up the escalator from the ground floor concourse.

St Pancras Facilities

For your travel to Europe, St Pancras has money exchange facilities, a baggage storage area, a photo booth, luggage trolleys and Free WiFi. There are plenty of e-ticket machines around, or you can go to a ticket desk for assistance. The Travel Centre can assist with hotel and events booking for visitors arriving from the continent.
