New Year Concerts and Operas in Paris:

Palais Garnier, Paris

If you’re looking to celebrate the New Year with a performance by some of the city’s excellent classical musicians, opera and ballet companies, Paris has a lot on offer. In addition to the New Year’s Concerts in Beautiful Paris churches, there are many other prestigious venues from which to enjoy a performance in the heart of Paris.

Palais Garnier

There’s no grander place to start the New Year than an evening at the stunningly ornate Palais Garnier. With crystal chandeliers, velvet, marble, and gilt surfaces, Palais Garnier offers a sumptuous atmosphere to experience opera and ballet productions of the Opéra de Paris.

Opera Bastille

Home to the Paris National Opera, Opera Bastille showcases Don Giovanni, Massenet’s Manon, La Khovantchina and more.

Tour EiffelEiffel Tower

An exciting performance which offers the chance to hear some of the most popular works of classical music in France’s most famous landmark. The masterpieces are performed by the popular Orchestre Paris Classik.

Philharmonie de Paris

The Orchestre Pasdeloup pays tribute to the best compositions of the cabaret repertoire from Berlin to Broadway. Enjoy masterpieces by Gershwin & Kurt Weill.

Paris theatre opera houseThéâtre des Champs-Élysées

Théâtre des Champs-Élysées is world-renowned and has hosted performances by some of the most prestigious artists in the history of music, opera and dance. This art deco concert and opera venue is located in Paris’ upmarket Avenue Montaigne. The theatre offers a huge range of performances, including an evening with the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra.

Hotel Dosne-Thiers

Today the Hôtel Dosne‐Thiers is the home of the Thiers Foundation (Centre de recherches humanistes), an institution whose aim is to distinguish young researchers.
In this adaptation of La Traviata, you’ll be the guests of Violetta. The three acts take place in different salons and are punctuated by an intermission during which a glass of champagne is served. You will then share a cocktail in the gardens or the salons of the Foundation, a moment of exchange with the artists.

Salle GaveauSalle Gaveau

The Salle Gaveau has hosted some of the most prestigious international musicians such as Montserrat Caballé, Jessye Norman, Yehudi Menuhin, Mstislav Rostropovitch and Martha Argerich. Enjoy masterpieces from Handel to Chopin and more.
