Airport Transfers to and from Aeropuerto de San Sebastián:

Aeropuerto de San Sebastian is located in Hondarribia, in the district of Bidasoa, about 22 kilometres northeast of San Sebastián city centre.

Although there are some seasonal international flights, San Sebastián airport’s present traffic is mainly from regular domestic flights to and from Madrid and Barcelona .

Flights to San Sebastian

The airlines operating at San Sebastián Airport include Iberia, Spanair and Air Nostrum and the destinations covered are Madrid-Barajas and Barcelona.

San Sebastián Airport Transfers

By Bus:

San Sebastián Airport Bus:

Interbus provides regular bus services from the Airport to San Sebastián and vice-versa. The bus stop is on the airport motorway, about 30 metres from the passenger terminal.

The services to San Sebastián depart approximately every 60 minutes, depending on the time of day, and journey time is about 30 minutes. This express service from the airport to San Sebastián city centre stops in Plaza Gipuzkoa and Sancho el Sabio.

San Sebastián – Hondarribia Line:

Interbus also provides a service connecting Hondarribia with San Sebastián city centre (stops at Plaza de Guipuzcoa) via Irun, Renteria and Pasaia.

By Taxi:

Approximate fares from the airport to: San Sebastián (by motorway) – €30, Irun –  €7 and Biarritz (airport) – €62. Telephone Radio taxi: 943 633 303

By Car:

The distance from San Sebastián city centre to the airport exit is twenty-two kilometres, and the average journey time is about twenty minutes.

The road access to the San Sebastian Airport are from Irun and Hondarribia via the road N-638. This road links up with the N-1, hence connecting the airport with San Sebastian and the south of France, and with the AP-8 Bilbao-Behobia motorway. There are 584 car spaces, 48 of them for rental cars, and the car park is free.

Hotels within 600m – 800m from San Sebastian Airport include the Rio Bidasoa, the Parador de Hondarribia which was once a medieval fortress and the Hotel Obispo which was a former palace dating back to the 14-15th century.  For the complete list of hotels near San Sebastian Airport, see HERE
