Santander Airport Transfers

Santander Airport (previously known as Parayas Airport) is an international airport located about 5 km from Santander city centre. Santander is the only airport servicing the Cantabria region.

Santander Flights

Ryanair, Nostrum and Iberia operate Santander flights and connect passengers to various Spanish and international destinations. Ryanair is the only budget airline with flights to Santander. Through Ryanair, passengers can connect to international destinations such as Brussels Charleroi, Dublin, Frankfurt-Hahn, London Stansted, Milan, Pisa, Paris Beauvais and Rome Ciampino.

The Santander Airport infrastructure has been expanded in recent times and the Airport is expecting to attract more regular and low-cost airlines to Santander in the future.

Santander Airport Transfers

Santander Airport is only 5 km from Santander city centre and is easily reached by the Santander Airport bus, taxi or by car.

By Bus –

  • There is a daily bus service from Santander Airport to the city centre and back. Journey time is about 15 minutes. For bus schedules and fairs see the Cantabria Transport website www.transportedecantabria.es.
  • ALSA buses provide intercity transportation from Santander Airport to various Spanish cities such as Bilbao, Gijon, San Sebastian, Asturias, Zaragoza, etc. ALSA is part of the British National Express group and cover an extensive network of destinations in Spain as well as in Europe. See the ALSA website (www.alsa.es) for schedules and fares.

By Taxi – The taxi stand is in front of the terminal building.

Santander Airport Car Hire – Car rental companies at Santander Airport include AVIS, Europcar, Hertz and National Atesa.

By Car – Santander Airport has direct access to the A-8 Santander-Bilboa Road.
