Unusual Paris Museums and Galleries
The Palais de Tokyo is the first art institution in the world to remain open from noon to midnight, everyday except Monday. You can drop by after seeing a movie or dining out!
The most avant-garde art museum in Western Europe, it makes a point of showing cutting – in fact, downright bleeding – edge conceptual and video art, not to mention performance art. There’s also a regular program of the latest music, dance and politically driven art work. Yep, it’s a French radical’s (or poseur’s) paradise – fun, though!
Gastronomic needs not forgotten
The Palais de Tokyo may be a venue for emerging art, but gastronomic needs and capitalism have not been forgotten: a restaurant, a cafeteria, a bookshop and a boutique cater to visitors.
