Berlin-Schönefeld Airport (SXF) is one of the two Berlin international airports, the other being Tegel. Located in the town of Schönefeld, the airport is approximately 24kms (15 miles) south-east of the centre of Berlin.
Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER)
Berlin’s new Brandenburg Airport Willy Brandt is located adjacent to Schönefeld Airport. When this new airport is completed, it will replace both the Tegel and Schönefeld Airports. The new airport was originally scheduled to be completed in June 2012, but due to planning problems, it is unlikely that Berlin Brandenburg will be completed before late 2015.
There are currently three terminals at Schönefeld (see map). Schönefeld is the hub for Easyjet and Germanwings. The flights at Schonefeld Airport mostly connect to European holiday destinations.
Berlin Airport Transfer
By Bus
- Shuttle Bus: The SXF1 express bus takes 20 minutes to Berlin-Südkreuz train station and 25 minutes to Berlin city centre (Potsdamer Platz). Buses leave from the central reservation area in front of Terminal A every 20 minutes. At Berlin-Südkreuz train station you can transfer quickly and easily to the urban and regional rail system (S-Bahn, RE, RB) and other main-line trains.

Alternatively, take the JetExpressBus X7, 162, 171, 735, N7, or N60 to Flughäfen Schönefeld (terminal). For more information and your journey planner see www.bvg.de.

The specially identified regional train lines RE7, RB14 or RB22 run every half hour. Local public transport tickets are accepted on these trains. The journey is within fare zone C. At the Schoenefeld railway station, the exits leading to the airport are clearly marked. A 400m covered walkway leads from the station to the airport terminal (5 minute walk).
