Festtage 2019 – A Berlin Opera Festival at Easter:

With the arrival of Easter comes Festtage or Festival Days Berlin. Festtage is an annual Berlin opera festival. Festtage takes place at its original home at the Staatsoper Unter den Linden, Berlin’s oldest opera house. This was where the festival began in April 1996.

Festtage Berlin

At Festtage Berlin, international opera stars and the state orchestra “Staatskapelle Berlin” come together and turn the Staatsoper into a special venue. After years of renovation the newly re-opened Staatsoper is now a magnificent venue with the right acoustics and atmosphere for classical music and opera. Wagner’s Parsifal and Verdi’s hilarious Falstaff are some of the class acts in the Festival’s programme. There will also be performances at the Berlin Philharmonie.
