Many of the churches and scuola were once decorated by famous artists like Tintoretto, Tiepolo and Palma il Giovane so apart from enjoying great opera and classical musical works, there’s the opportunity to admire some famous artworks or listen to Baroque music in a genuine Baroque Venice setting.
Many of these venues host concerts the whole year through whereas others are used seasonally. However, whether you’re looking to enjoy Vivaldi, Mozart. Puccini, Verdi, etc. there’s bound to be a concert on somewhere. Venice is of course Vivaldi’s home town so this is a ideal place to enjoy Vivaldi’s Four Seasons.
