When it comes to music festivals, the Bayreuth Wagner Festival is not the only festival that Bayreuth is famous for. The Musica Bayreuth Festival is amongst the more important cultural events in Bayreuth and Northern Bavaria.
This year Bayreuth celebrates its 51st Anniversary of Musica Bayreuth Festival with a series of classical concerts and other musical events in the Neues Schloss (New Castle), Stadthalle Bayreuth (Town Hall), in churches and various concert halls.

Since its founding in 1961, Musica Bayreuth Festival has hosted internationally acclaimed artists as well as aspiring young musicians. A special highlight of this year’s program is the “Red Bull Flying Bach” in the Town Hall. Other star acts include the Kuss Quartet with actor Udo Samel and Singer Pur.
