Bologna Airport Transfers
Bologna is the largest city in the Emilia-Romagna region and the Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport (Aeroporto di Bologna-Guglielmo Marconi) is the main airport servicing this region. Close to 6 million passengers pass through Bologna Airport (BLQ) annually, making it the seventh busiest airport in Italy.
The airport is named after the famous Guglielmo Marconi, a native of Bologna. Main stream airlines as well as low-cost carriers operate from Bologna Airport, connecting passengers to 75 international destinations, 12 domestic cities and 6 intercontinental destinations.
Bologna Airport
BLQ is located about 6 km to the northwest of Bologna town centre and a new people mover, the Marconi Express, is being built to provide quick link between the airport and Bologna Central Station. Meanwhile, there is a regular shuttle express from the airport to Bologna Central.
As the air hub for the Emilia-Romagna region, there are also direct shuttle services from Bologna Airport to Ferrara, Modena, Siena, Florence and other Italian cities.
