Arena di Verona Celebrates its 100th Opera Festival:

100th Opera Festival

Opera fans in Verona are in for a treat. The Arena di Verona celebrates its milestone 100th Opera Festival with some of the greatest and most spectacular operas.  Aida, Carmen, Madama Butterfly, Barber of Seville, La Traviata and Rigoletto are just some of the popular and successful operas which are being be staged at this famous Roman amphitheatre.

The Arena Opera Festival, which runs till September 2023, includes ballets and concerts as well.  Special performances include a night with Placido Domingo on August 6th, and on the evening of August 31st, the Verona amphitheatre will host, for the first time ever, the Orchestra of the Teatro alla Scala.
