Inspired by Scarpa’s Tagline – No Place Too Far, we visit Asolo:

Scarpa shoes

Our new Scarpa shoes

Scarpa’s tagline “No Place Too Far” describes the company’s challenge when it comes to producing quality hiking, mountaineering and other outdoor activity shoes. For us, it takes on another meaning.

Scarpa Shoes

We’ve always liked Scarpa shoes for hiking and have also come to love their colourful urban outdoor Mojito casual shoes.

Through some research, I find out that Scarpa is headquartered in Asolo and they also have an outlet there. Their very helpful Customer Service team advise that the outlet is open to the public and provide opening times. As we are hiking in the Prosecco Hills and within striking distance from Asolo, getting to the outlet becomes one of our targets.

Scarpa Outlet

The main section of the outlet has the latest Scarpa models, selling at the full price. In the next room is where the reduced price shoes are. Sarah (I think that’s her name) is very knowledgeable and most helpful. She shows us the models that suit our hiking activity and makes recommendations on sizing and fit as well, saving us time ploughing through all the shoes.

Getting to the outlet

Getting to the Scarpa outlet isn’t straightforward if you don’t have a car. With a bit of research I find that we can get there on bus number 112, from the main Treviso bus station, with destination Ca’Vescovo. The trip takes just a little over 1 hour. The bus stop is just in front of the Scarpa HQ, but you have to walk around the block to get to the outlet.

Mission accomplished

No Place Too Far

Sarah was most impressed that we’ve come all the way from Sydney, Australia to buy Scarpa shoes. Well, as their tagline says “No Place Too Far”!

We’re all set for our next hike, but at the back of my mind are the 140-odd other colours of casual Scarpa shoes that are still waiting in the shop.
