A REVIEW OF OUR STAY AT THE DUOMO – APARTMENTS ENJOY PALACE:

Duomo - Apartments Enjoy Palace, Milan

Our apartment 501

For our Milan visit we stayed at the Duomo – Apartments Enjoy Palace, an apartment hotel in the centre of Milan. Being a financial centre, Milan has a good range of 4-star hotels in the city centre, but we preferred an apartment. As the first part of the name suggests, the Duomo – Apartments Enjoy Palace is close to the Duomo, Milan’s Cathedral.

First Impression

The Duomo – Apartments Enjoy Palace is a modern apartment block. Check-in was efficient and friendly. The facade of the building was not impressive, but the Studio apartment we booked was exactly as shown on the Booking.com website.

Our room 501 looked into a courtyard facing other buildings, but we were able to see the Duomo spires from our room.

There are two categories of apartments – standard and superior, the difference being the size of the apartment. The standard studio that we booked was spacious. It was certainly large enough for our needs.

Apartment

There is a small kitchenette equipped with microwave, stovetop and kettle. We used it mostly for preparing breakfast or light snacks.

The apartment lacks character, but it is bright and clean. It is serviced everyday and the toiletries and towels are replaced everyday as well.

Dining

The Duomo – Apartments Enjoy Palace does not have its own cafés or restaurants on site. However, there is a great café next door for breakfast and next to it there are a couple of restaurants. There are also plenty of restaurants around the Duomo Piazza and in the Galleria.

What we particularly liked:

  • The smart design and cleanliness of the apartment
  • Free WiFi and signal in the room was good
  • Central location and within easy walking distance to the Duomo, La Scala, the Galleria
  • Easy public transportation to Milan attractions and shops
  • The price was reasonable
  • They very kindly let us check in early in the morning as we had an early flight arrival.

What we were not keen on:

  • Nothing really, but it would have been nice to have toaster and washing machine.

Overall, we were very happy with the Duomo – Apartments Enjoy Palace and it’s central location is a great plus for Milan sightseeing. We would happily stay here again. You can book the Duomo – Apartments Enjoy Palace Here.
