VENICEcard:

Venice Card

VENICEcard is a ticket that allows you to use the tourist services the City and various businesses offer to the visitor. You buy it when you get to Venice (lots of places, see below) and there are both Adult (over 30 years old) or Junior (under 30 years old) versions.

It’s the official City Card of Venice, valid 7 days from the first use.

What services does it include?

  • Museums
    This is the main attraction. You’ll have free entrance via the priority lanes to: Doge’s Palace and the other 10 Musei Civici di Venezia, 16 Chorus Churches, Querini Stampalia Foundation, Jewish Museum.

    It gives reduced admissions to:

    Temporary Exhibitions on Musei Civici Veneziani and Palazzo Fortuny, Peggy Guggenheim Collection, Bevilacqua La Masa Foundation, many other Museums, Foundations, and temporary exhibitions.

  • Toilet and Baby-changing facilities (you can use all the staffed facilities in the city)
    Toilet and nursery facilities at supervised points are included in the VENICEcard.
    VENICEcard customers are allowed up to 2 daily entrances free of charge.

    Tronchetto – Near Palafenice – every day, all year (8.00 – 20.00)
    Piazzale Roma – Calle Cossetti 456 – every day, all year (8.00 – 20.00)
    San Bartolomeo – S. Marco 5404 – every day, all year (8.00 – 20.00)
    Diurno S. Marco – S. Marco 1265 – every day, all year (9.00 – 20.00)
    Giardini ex reali S. Marco – S. Marco 1 – every day, all year (9.00 – 19.00)
    Bragora – Castello 4054 – from May to September, Carnival (9.00 – 20.00)
    Murano – F.ta Serenella – from May to September (10.00 – 19.00)

    When you collect your VENICEcard you will be given a free guide booklet and a map.

  • Adult: €39,90 (age 30 and over)
  • Junior: €29,90 (age 6 to 29)

How to get it

As opposed to the old VENICEcard, you buy this one when you arrive.

      The Venice Card is not available on-line, but you can easily buy it at many places in Venice. See list below:

      What you can buy on-line is the VeniceConnected card. With this card you pick and choose whatever you need for the time that you are in Venice. It includes transport, which the Venice Card does not.

    I’d like to know if VENICE CARD combining culture and transport for 7 days still exist and can be bought on Marco Polo airport.
