Ristorante Da Romano, Burano

Restaurants on the islands of the Venice lagoon are often not open in the evenings, so be sure to check on opening hours and rest days!

Trattoria “Da Romano”
Via San Martino Destro, Burano
This restaurant has an impressive list of clients, including famous painters and sculptors, singers and musicians and other illustrious names.

Trattoria ’Busa alla Torre’ da Lele
Campo S. Stefano, Murano
In a small building with a first story colonnade, well-reviewed, fish selections best. Lunch only.

Antica Trattoria Muranese
Rivalonga 20, Murano
Friendly, efficient restaurant with patio garden at back. Cooking is basic but good.

Locanda Cipriani

Piazza Santa Fosca 29, Torcello
Expensive but reputedly good. Terrace. Private boat from S. Marco available.

La Sgura
Fondamenta Marangoni 1295, Chioggia
It’s a two hour ferry ride from Venice, a fish lunch is what you go for, and the turbot is recommended. On a quiet canal side parallel with Chioggia’s main street, Il Corso del Popolo.

Antica Trattoria alla Maddalena,
Isola di Mazzorbo
The vaporetto stop alongside Burano, worth exploring on a sunny day. Home-grown ingredients and simple cooking.
